As featured in 'My Voyage Scotland's 42 Best Glamping Pods in Scotland' https://www.myvoyagescotland.com/glamping-pods-scotland
We have four wooden, glamping pods situated to take advantage of stunning and uninterupted views over Loch Craskie. Excellent insulation and a low wattage, high output heaters make them warm and dry all year round and three of them are also dog friendly. Far from basic and surprisingly well equipped, this is the luxury end of glamping. We have ensured you only need to bring yourselves for a truly unique and unforgettable stay.
Every Pod has its own large, decked terrace with ample space for cooking, alfresco dining or soaking up the stunning loch views. Your own area to enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of this unique highland estate.
Shared, heated bathroom facilities are located only a short distance from the pods in an annex of the main house. We have fitted luxury shower/toilet facilities with hot, powerful showers (no damp campsite toilet blocks here!) and a sink area for washing dishes. There is also a shared fridge and space to hang wet walking gear. Fresh drinking water is drawn from our private borehole.
Each pod contains:
Shared facilities:
The nearest shop is in Cannich village 3 miles away and is very well stocked (they even do takeaway pizza!). There are Coop's in Beauly and Drumnadrochit and ASDA will deliver to Craskie.
We have carefully balanced ecologically sound principles with luxury touches in the creation of our pod accommodation. They are designed to sit comfortably within their unspoilt and wild surroundings with a minimal carbon footprint. This is achieved using highly thermally efficient insulation, double glazing, low wattage electrics, energy efficient radiators and by positioning the pods to maximise the sun's energy.
They are constructed in the UK using recycled and responsibly sourced materials and all timber is sustainably sourced and FSC certified. We have tried to use recycled and re-purposed items within the pods wherever possible, for example the coasters are hand-made from reclaimed Ballachulish slate found on the estate and some of the furniture was sourced by our antique dealer friend. We equip each pod to allow you to recycle as much as possible; paper, card, plastics, tins, glass and food waste which goes to our chickens!
There is parking on site but we ask our guests to only bring one car wherever possible. Go one better and cycle or hike into Craskie, we are located less than two miles from the Affric-Kintail Way.
Our pods are carefully situated in their own area where they cannot be seen from our holiday cottage.
A stay in our luxurious glamping pods starts from just £45 per night for two people with no minimum stay. See our rates page for further details.
